Q: Who can apply?

Q: What do the grants cover?

•  Grants cover equipment costs, course materials (software, books etc)
•  ‘One-off’ cash grants of up to £1000 are available for financially disadvantaged students. This can go towards living costs, travel and accommodation.

Q: When do they start and how do I apply?

Grants are available from the start of each academic year in September. First, check with your University’s Student Services Department to make sure you are receiving all the statutory assistance available and any help from University funds.   After this, contact us to confirm eligibility and we will send you an application form.  Grants are not limited to only one academic year; repeat applications may be made.

Q: Are any applications prioritised?

Yes, we prioritise applications from the following groups:
 •  Disabled students
 •  Final year students
 •  Students with dependants, especially lone parents
 •  Students aged 25 and over with extra financial commitments
 •  Local Authority care leavers; students estranged from their parents; students with significant debts before commencing University course
